What is GLO Whitening?

GLO teeth whitening is an at-home teeth whitening procedure that uses G.L.O Technology and GLO vials to accelerate the teeth whitening process and give you the white, brilliant smile you want as quickly as possible. GLO whitening eliminates stains and lightens discolored enamel caused by coffee, tea, dark soda, tomato-based sauces, and other foods and drinks that can cause staining. GLO whitening does not cause any sensitivity, and does not affect the structure of your teeth.

How GLO Whitening Works

Step 1. Apply GLO Lip Treatment

Step 2. Remove the cap from the GLO Vial and apply a small amount on the provided applicator brush.

Step 3. Gently brush a thin layer of the GLO whitening gel onto the front of your top and bottom teeth.

Step 4. Insert your GLO mouthpiece, tap the button on the Power Pack (or, if you're using GLO Lit press the button in the GLO whitening app) to activate G.L.O.® technology. Your mouthpiece will turn off on its own once the eight-minute session is complete. For the best possible whitening results, it's recommended to complete three 8-minute GLO sessions every day for seven days or until your desired whitening results are achieved.

Your Dentist & GLO Whitening

Even though your GLO whitening sessions will be performed at home, your dentist will provide you with instructions for when and how to use the kit, and monitor your treatment during your regularly scheduled in-office appointment. To maintain the results from GLO Whitening, your dentist will likely advise you to avoid using tobacco products and drinking/eating food and beverages that could stain your teeth, such as wine, tomato-based sauces, coffee, tea, and dark soda.

Another way to maintain your healthy, white smile is by keeping up with your biannual appointments with your dentist and practicing good oral hygiene at home, including brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing.

Throughout your treatment, your GLO Whitening dentist is here for whatever you need, so don't hesitate to contact Advanced Dental Health Center at 615-460-0123 if you have any questions or concerns. Or, if you haven't started whitening your teeth yet, but would like to learn more about what GLO Whitening can do for your smile, contact our office today to schedule a consultation!
